3/12 - A Matter of the Heart, Education in India, Anurag Behar

I picked this book for 2 reasons, first the blurb and second, the fact that Anurag Behar is a 'long distance runner' :) (no surprises there).
This book is a collection of essays by Anurag Behar, the Chairman of Azim Premji Foundation about his interactions with teachers from the remote villages of India.Reading this book changed my perspective on education in India.
There is a lot to be improved and we are all comfortable to pinpoint and complain about it (without doing much about). But we rarely get to know about how some teachers ensure the students in their care get an education. This book has many such stories.

Verdict ✴️ ✴️ ✴️  :People read books for many reasons. knowledge, self improvement, thrill, for a good laugh. At times we also find books that radiate optimism and positivity as we read it.This is one such book. This is not fiction and there are several sections which one may find 'boring' but in between those boring stories we find anecdotes that radiate optimism and positivity!
