I brought this book at the second hand book store at the Hyderabad BookFair. I loved Karen Armstrongs earlier book about The Buddha and expected this to be on similar lines.Easy to read and deeply researched.
I was not disappointed. The book went deep into one of the most read books of humanity, The Bible. It starts off from the Old Testament and its history,followed by The Gospel.Through this book I also learnt many things about the early days of Christianity , the role of St.Paul and the backstory of his epistles which are a major part of the Bible in its current form.
Verdict : 
The book is not for the faint hearted. Pick this up if you are looking for a raw history of The Bible.
