A visit to MIT

It was a Sunday, it was my sisters birthday and it was also the day I managed to visit MIT, the worlds best engineering college . What a day !! 

Many years ago, on my first visit to Boston, MIT was the major location that I wanted to visit with Akka and Athan. At that time too it was a chilly evening with strong winds from the Cambridge river. What was different was that , after so many years, I got to enter into the campus as a proud uncle of my nephew who got admitted to MIT for his Undergraduate !!

My nephew took me to his dorm , the MIT Chapel and also gave me a ringside view of the lecture halls and finally inside the MIT Media lab. A place that I always wanted to visit .

A proud moment that I will cherish for a long time ! Some pictures from my visit below.

1/12 : Helgoland , Carlo Rovelli

 Started off the year with this book on Quantum Mechanics by Carlo Rovelli. I love the first few chapters of this book. I couldnt recall much about this book right now. But the initial chapter on how Werner Heisenberg came up with the idea of Quantum Mechanics during this stay at this secluded island was amazing. 

It made me realize the power of human mind . It also showcased how deep some of the scientists were married to their ideologies that it consumed their mind and body .

I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in understanding Quantum mechanics at a higher level without getting into the mathematical aspects of it .

Meeting old friends.

After 17 years , met two of friends from Motorola person. They drove for 2 hours for this meeting. Thank you Maheswari and Swarna for making time ! It was definitely worth the effort .
